hello!
If you think it’s been a minute since I last reached through cyberspace… you’re right!
Following the revelation that our beloved red (rental) home was filled with mold, we’ve been skipping from one big, challenging moment to another.
We’ve released nearly everything we own (minus the childhood books I can’t bring myself to part with… yet)
We’ve mostly stopped eating sugar and yeast (which is much harder with young kids begging for snacks)
We’ve rearranged our schedules (and budget) to allow for additional doctor and body-care appointments
We’re moving through this bumpy journey from illness to health (still with many startling symptoms that will likely require months, even years, to subside).
And we’re sitting with blissfully joyful moments as often as possible! It helps that our girls “look on the bright side” quite naturally.
All this to say: If you’re struggling right now - me, too.
If you’re moving through moments of pain and suffering… to moments of utter joy and delight… back to pain and suffering…
Me, too.
At the base of it all, I don’t believe we’re designed to struggle alone, but together - in hard moments especially.
That’s why I’m writing to you again: To connect us within moments of both / and (the good and the challenging).
If things go to plan in 2023 (so possibly, but not likely…) this year will have me writing more about -
healing from mold illness & prioritizing mind-body nourishment,
caretaking & mothering (my people and myself), in combination with creative work,
what I'm learning about astrology,
what I'm practicing by choosing to heal through movement & writing as art-forms,
the re-balancing that's happening within modern marketing & virtual work (and the now-visible change from manipulative tactics to heart-based connection),
how my family is actively deschooling from "standard" school practices (as kids and as grown-ups),
how my business partner and I are shifting UNRAVEL Your Days to be more inclusive & accessible (for us and for our caretaker / neurodivergent followers).
If I had to choose just one word to express my intention and devotion to this coming year, it would be TRUST -
to decipher greater trust in myself,
to create a necessary sense of safety through big changes,
and to delve into a richer experience with supportive divine energies.
Do you have any big (or little) intentions within this new year?
Looking forward to being in greater connection this year (and beyond!)
xx
